Edge's Blossary

Angee: adj. Angry. As in "Mama, I drawed on the wall and Daddy's angee!"

Apple Pie?: interrogative Meaning obscure. Apparently hilarious.

Bah: 1. n. Short for "ba-ba" (bottle). 2. int. What a sheep says.

Balk: n. Chicken, particularly of the nugget variety. Also: Balk-balk.

Baseball: n. Overgeneralizing for any kind of small ball.

Bootyful: adj. Beautiful. As in "Dat's bootyful!"

Brokenit: adj. Broken, as in "That expensive glass thing is brokenit."

Buh-buh: n. Early version of bubbles.

Button: n. 1. A small control device activated by pressing with one's finger. 2. Something that must be pressed despite any potential consequences.

Bwoo: n. Early version of "blue."

Can't: v. Literally, "won't," as in "I can't getta time out," while shaking his head convincingly.

Cannot: v. Also "won't." As in "I cannot!"

Castle (The): n. 1. Upstairs. 2. Something being built.

Chicken-Donald's: n. McDonald's.

Chocolate Factory: n. Any small body of water (i.e. bathtub) that reminds one of a chocolate river.

Coco: n. Early version of chocolate in virtually any form.

Costume: n. Any unspecified situation or careful configuration involving fabric and/or furnture.

D: n. DVD.

Daddy-bath: n. A shower.

Damma: n. Grandma.

Ding-ding!: very early intj. 1. Translation from infancy for: "Help! Help!" 2. Translation: "Get the baba now!"

Doosumpin': intj. This situation is untenable, as in "We gotta doosumpin'!"

Garbage Shute: n. Indeterminate reference to any tunnel-like space or mysertious area that catches a boy's interest. Reference to "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

Gimme: imp. "Give me," as in, "that."

Goo: intj. Very early babble, meaning unclear. Possibly: "Me likey."

Hammer-Rammer: n. Hammer. Possibly a transposition of a hammer from the children's program "Wow Wow Wubzy."

Ikeekoh: (early pronunciation) n. Literally, ice cream cone. Generic term for any kind of frozen snack thing.

It: prn. 1. An object or place. 2. Something not human. 3. Little brother Cary, as in "Take it away!"

Kees: n. Early version of cheese.

Kohn: n. Corn. As in "Dat's good kohn."

Ma-da: n. Mama or Dada, whichever.

Mama: n. 1. Food. 2. A very significant other. 3. A woman who looks like a mama.

Mesh: n. Early version of "mess."

Mistercary: n. Little brother Cary.

Na-Na: n. Smell or sense of smell. Na-na may be "good na-na" as in co-co, or "bad na-na" as in feet.

Ni-Ni!: intj. One stage before ding-ding. Translation: "I don't like this one bit." (see ding-ding!)

Normus!: adj. Enormous as in "That's normus!"

Old: adj. Translation: "I don't want that anymore. That's old."

Outside?: interrogative Where we must go now if you know what is good.

Peees: v. Please.

Poon: n. Spoon.

Power Ranger: n. Jedi knight.

Ruined: adj. 1. Wet. 2. Dirty. 3. Brokenit.

Shive: n. Number that comes after "shore."

Shore: n. Early version of "four."

Shork: n. Early version of "fork."

Storm: n. A shower.

Sunny: adj. Happy. As in "It's sunny!"

Sunnyday: (pronounced sun'-e-day) Meaning unclear. Literally: 1. "It's a sunny day." 2. Emotively, "I feel happy." 3. Also, possibly, "I want to play." 4. When distressed it may also mean "Comfort me."

Ta'hot: adj. Early version of hot, as in "That's ta'hot!"

Tarontop: phrase Answer to the question "What goes on top of a Christmas Tree?"

Taste!: intj. 1. That tastes bad and/or too piquant for me. 2. That's different than what I like.

Tasty: adj. 1. Too intense or unsatisfactory in flavor. As in "That's too tasty!" 2. Different.

Tee: n. Tree.

Tory: n. Story.

Tunnel: n. 1. Any opening into which one might pass through 2. A small, enclosed space, usually darkened.

Up: 1. n. A game involving being hoisted into the air and suspended by Dada. 2. imp. Translation: "Lift me up, Mada."

Uh-hind: pr. Behind as in "The ball is uh-hind you!"

Uh-prise!: int. Surprise.

Upsidedown!: imperative Turn me over, dada!

Wadder: n. A ladder, a portable runged device for climbing. Any object that can be used like a ladder. As in ref. to the moon's height in the sky: "We're gonna need a wadder."

Wed: n. Early version of "red."

Wuhwhoa: n. Early version of "yellow."

Windyroom: n. Edge's room, so named for the ceiling fan that he loves to turn on. "It's my windyroom."

Yerdoin: interrogative "You doing" as in "Whatyerdoin, Mada?"
